If I go to TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS/CONNECTIONS, only a DSL and a Dial-Up connection are listed. I have phne up my internet provider, gone through a number of procedures and tehy have said it is something to do with the laptop itself. I have been searching for hours trying to fix this and I did just what you said and it worked...wonderful!!!! I have tried all of the fixes on here, but nothing works.
